What’s better than taking a quick trip to Maui? Taking a trip to Maui to shoot a beautiful wedding. When I shoot any wedding, my aim is to document the day to naturally tell a story. Well, nailed it here. I’m so grateful to Laney and Ethan who entrusted me to capture their day.

The Details

The details for Laney and Ethan’s day were pretty minimal, but stunning nonetheless. I love capturing the dress solo because honestly, dresses deserve their own spotlight in detail shots. With the smaller things, I try to embrace whatever is naturally in the space and utilizing veils or other details.

Getting Ready

These shots are always so fun! More often than not, it’s filled with mess, chatter, food, and alcohol. Each group is unique in their energy, but the goal is always the same… hype up the bride and provide a calm, yet fun environment. This is also the time where we do getting dressed shots of the bride and groom. Always a special moment when you designate your mom, dad, sister, or brother to help.

Ceremony

I don’t have much to add here as it’s pretty self-explanatory. All the feels are felt. I’m in full concentration mode, but always catch the sentiment in the vows and the reactions to go with it.

Wedding Portraits

By this point, couples are ready to celebrate and can be exhausted from the build up of the day. I definitely recommend taking some time to capture these portraits. I promise you it’s worth it and won’t take too much of your time. And with me as your photographer, you can guarantee I’m going to get you to your cocktail hour to celebrate.

Cocktail Hour

Speaking of cocktail hour, see…. I got Laney and Ethan there to celebrate! I love seeing this because couples are ready to enjoy and celebrate with drink in hand. People are talking story and loving on the couple.

Reception

Gonna close off with the celebration! This typically includes the entrance, speeches, dances, and then the PARTY. I honestly love capturing the dancing/reception photos. People are having fun and may be slightly inebriated, and it makes for some fun photos. For my couples out there reading this, please be sure to dance with your spouse on the dance floor. I love capturing couples on the dance floor surrounded by their family and friends.

I hope you enjoyed Laney and Ethan’s wedding photos as much as I do. If you’re looking for amazing photos for your day… you know what to do. Contact me and let’s make you official on my calendar.
